If you got a BSOD while playing a video file and the blue screen said:
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
cmudaxp.sys
it might be the audio C-Media driver that's the culprit.
I've found a simple workaround for this issue. What I did was install AC3 Filter version 1.46. Also, I've read the only settings that work are 2.0 and 5.1. There seems to be a problem with a certain version of the C-Media driver. Unfortunately, since I own an Auzentech X-Meridian card and they haven't updated their driver, I cannot update to the latest C-Media driver.
Still, here's a simple workaround for the cmudaxp.sys error. Hope it works for you!
