Having pre-ordered a deluxe version of Joe Perry's book, I knew it was gonna take longer than usual. I will probably get the audiobook as well, since it has Joe's voice, but in the meantime it would have been nice to see the real thing. Instead, I got this message today:
Good morning. Thank you for your recent purchase of the Autographed Special Edition of Rocks: My Life In and Out of Aerosmith.
We just received the signed copies of Rocks: My Life In and Out of Aerosmith, and the Leather Collector’s Boxes at our warehouse. However, due to a manufacturer sizing error, the Leather Collector’s Box that was produced is the incorrect size. Because of this error, your signed edition of Rocks: My Life In and Out of Aerosmith does not fit as perfectly as we would like for this keepsake. Therefore, we are shipping your signed edition NOW, and the manufacturer is beginning production on the correctly sized Leather Collector’s Box. The expected shipping time for the correct boxes is set to arrive at our warehouse the early December, at which time we will immediately ship your box to you.
We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. For this inconvenience we wish to offer you $10.00 off a future order.
Thank you for your business. If you need further assistance, please feel free to contact me directly.
Looks like huge screwups like this happen in the States, too. Go figure. Anyway, it's not the package that matters, is it?
